Defiled Earth

News continues to filter out concerning the state of our planet. Many are genuinley concerned and fear for the future. In a survey amongst primary school children it was one of the top three concerns they had. Isaiah the prophet wrote "The earth mourns and fades away, the worlds languishes and fades away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof..." (Isaiah 24:4-5). The Bible is clear when the people become defiled so does the earth. However God knows the beginning from the end and has put a plan in place. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth...Behold I make alll things new" (Revelation 21 1-5). God is in control. For me a Christian, a very reassuring thought. Sadly many children are not taught to trust The Lord God Allmighty and are living in fear, what a tragedy.
