ON THE EDGE?

The middle East has once again got our attention as the joint conflict between Israel, the USA and Iran intensifies. With the recent release of the Iranian propaganda video of rows and rows of suicide drones beneath a underground bunker its not looking like its going to be a short lived conflict. Bunker down is all we can do here in the UK. Fuel and food price's will undoubtably rise, perhaps even shortages and the frustrating long queues at the petrol station.

There is a buzz among some Christians that this conflict could herald the return of Christ. Some signs are favourable and yes some of the events unfolding could be understood through the lens of biblical prophecy. When you know something is coming, you may not always know when, its always best to be prepared.

Believers are called to keep their eyes fixed on things above, somewhat challenging when all hell is breaking loose around you. Not-yet believers are still living in a time window where they are able to avail themselves of Gods grace and enter into the everlasting kingdom through the only door provided, faith in Jesus Christ.

The whole world has been in a spiritual battle since Adam and Eve handed over dominion of the earth to Satan. Christ took it back but Satan keeps on fighting. He is using confusion, false religions and wars. Whatever unfolds God has a plan. He has a plan for Israel, the world and His Church. That plan will succeed and cannot be delayed, thwarted or changed by anything man does on earth, but anyone who has read the book of Revelation, and is familiar with anything about the end times, knows eventually its going to get very ugly.

Jesus warned but he also encouraged. Hold on to His words as we navigate through this period of uncertainty. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
